As 2025 draws to a close and 2026 comes into view, it is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to what’s next. At Fleurizon, this annual reflection is always welcomed. In this article, we join Robert Pettorini of Fleurizon to review 2025 and share expectations for 2026.

According to Pettorini, 2025 proved to be a good year for Fleurizon, with momentum building across multiple product categories. With demand continuing to grow and new opportunities emerging. So, which products stood out in 2025? Let’s take a closer look.

When looking at the hottest sellers of 2025, he starts with their favorite cactus varieties for 2025 that they have had continued success with, namely the line of Cristata cactus now offered. With a myriad of forms and colors to choose from, the possibilities are excellent for any professional grower’s program.

Next is the Albuca spiralis ‘Frizzle Sizzle’. “It continues to be some of our hottest-selling starter material due to its unique curls and interesting white vanilla-scented flowers. This fits especially in succulent programs, indoor programs and web shops. We ship these bulbs worldwide.”

2025 favorites: Strong demand for container material
One of the most notable developments in 2025 was the significant increase in demand for starter material shipped via sea container. Fleurizon offers an extensive collection of container-grown starter plants, and several varieties proved especially popular with customers.

Among the top performers were Sansevieria laurentii and Sansevieria superba, two timeless classics that remain staples in the indoor houseplant market. Their durability, clean appearance, and consistent performance continue to make them reliable choices for growers.

Another standout was Cycas revoluta, commonly known as the Sago Palm. Praised for its elegant foliage, drought tolerance, and low maintenance requirements, this sun-loving plant has been an exceptionally strong seller and a valuable addition to many growers’ programs.

Pachira aquatica, or the Money Tree, also ranked among Fleurizon’s hottest container items. Available in both single-stem and braided forms, the braided Pachira in particular has drawn attention for its distinctive appearance and strong consumer appeal.

Completing the list is Echinocactus grusonii, the Golden Barrel Cactus. This striking cactus remains a favorite for desert and rock gardens, succulent collections, and decorative container use.

Partnering farms with over 30 years of experience
In addition to sea container material, Fleurizon continues to collaborate with several farms producing premium short Sansevieria, Agaves, and other specialty varieties suitable for air freight. These farms bring more than 30 years of growing experience to the table, and customers consistently recognize the superior quality of the plants they receive.

Expansion of grass sales and varieties in 2026
Looking ahead to 2026, Fleurizon is particularly excited about expanded partnerships with its grass farms located in Eastern Europe and Africa. While Fleurizon has worked closely with these farms for many years, the coming year will mark a significant increase in both sales volume and the range of varieties available.

With superior quality standards and record-high order fulfillment, these partnerships are set to deliver Fleurizon’s strongest grass program to date. Customers are encouraged to reach out directly for competitive pricing on these high-quality products.

A global presence
Fleurizon International imports material into destination countries and delivers directly to customers’ doorsteps, simplifying logistics and ensuring reliability. In addition, Fleurizon continues to showcase its varieties at major trade shows around the world.

In January, Fleurizon will exhibit at TPIE in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, followed by IPM Essen in Essen, Germany, further reinforcing its global presence and commitment to the international horticultural market.
