Hiedl Heidekulturen expands with 8,000 square meters of Venlo greenhouse

In Altusried, Germany, BOAL Systems is working on the expansion of Hiedl Heidekulturen, commissioned by Rabensteiner GmbH. The project includes 8,410 m² of LUMENEX® VENLO greenhouse and 2,416 m² of S-House for the service and logistics area. For the S-House section, WNL Horti Insulation is supplying BOAL Systems with the insulated roof and wall panels, along with several custom-made solutions.

For the roof, WNL is supplying 80 mm insulated roof panels featuring its WNL Easyjoint technology. The panels are cut at an angle and integrated into the BOAL S-House system, with the Prisma Sirius (RAL 9006) finish providing a clean and uniform appearance.

WNL is also supplying the exterior and interior wall panels for horizontal installation. The exterior walls consist of approximately 1,800 m² of 80 mm insulated panels in Prisma Sirius (RAL 9006), while the interior walls comprise approximately 1,000 m² of 80 mm panels finished in RAL 9002 on both sides. A distinctive feature of this project is the horizontal installation of both the exterior and interior wall panels, rather than the more conventional vertical installation.

Special attention has also been given to the detailing of the project. At the connection with the concrete base, an EPS insulation block has been installed underneath the wall panel to provide additional insulation, and the flashings and corner pieces are finished in RAL 7016. WNL is also supplying several thermally broken frames with a distinctive two-colour finish: RAL 7016 on the exterior and RAL 9002 on the interior.

This project brings together BOAL Systems’ solutions and WNL’s insulation knowledge in one integrated system. WNL Horti Insulation expressed pride in the collaboration and said it looks forward to seeing the finished result.
