The 39th edition of SIVAL has just come to a close. Nearly 24,000 visitors attended the event at the Angers Exhibition Centre over the three days of the show. “A real achievement,” according to the organizers, given the “uncertain economic context.”

On the international front, momentum continues to grow. This year, SIVAL welcomed 69 targeted buyers from 19 nationalities and generated more than 330 business meetings as part of the VIBE business convention. Off-site visits also proved highly successful, helping to highlight the strengths and expertise of companies in the region.

Highlights of SIVAL 2026
With conferences, forums and dedicated events such as FRUIT 2050, all closely linked to the major challenges facing the specialized plant production sectors, SIVAL offers exceptionally rich content with a high level of expertise. Among this extensive program, several highlights marked the 2026 edition.

One of the developments was a partnership with CTIFL and the launch of a new podcast, “Les Racines du Futur®” (The Roots of the Future). SIVAL has thus equipped itself with a new tool to more widely share knowledge across the specialized plant sectors. Co-produced with CTIFL, this new format confirms SIVAL’s commitment to supporting the industry and maintaining a continuous connection throughout the year.

Varietal innovation also made a strong comeback this year through the SIVAL Innovation Competition, featuring six new varieties. One new pear variety stood out in particular: KIARA pear. Available for tasting during the show, it received a very positive response from visitors. Also not to be missed was the Agreen Défi, an Artificial Intelligence hackathon aimed at delivering concrete solutions to real-world agricultural challenges.

The next edition of SIVAL will take place on 12, 13 and 14 January 2027, marking the show’s 40th anniversary.
