SVG Ventures | THRIVE, in collaboration with Zone Agtech, has announced the second cohort of the Québec Go Global Scaleup Program, an international growth initiative designed to help high-potential Québec startups expand into global markets and connect with customers, investors and strategic partners worldwide. The program supports innovative companies across agtech, foodtech, AI and sustainability through tailored mentorship, strategic introductions, investor engagement and international market immersion opportunities.
This year’s cohort reflects the strength and diversity of Québec’s innovation ecosystem, with companies developing breakthrough technologies spanning biotechnology, precision agriculture, food preservation, automation, biomaterials and AI-powered agricultural solutions. Through the collaboration between SVG Ventures | THRIVE and Zone Agtech, participating companies gain access to global innovation networks, industry expertise and international commercialisation opportunities designed to accelerate long-term growth and market expansion.
The seven companies selected for the 2025 cohort are:
Agapyo develops “jam,” a plant-based biodegradable polymer designed as a drop-in replacement for conventional rigid plastics. Its initial market focus is agriculture, silviculture and horticulture, with applications such as maple taps and planter pots where biodegradability offers clear commercial and environmental value.
Agflo provides connected feed bin monitoring solutions that give livestock producers and feed mills real-time visibility into grain inventories. The technology is designed to optimise feed delivery, reduce operational costs and lower the carbon footprint of supply chain operations.
Aplantex engineers high-value, mission-critical plant-based molecules for the cosmetics, food and natural health industries, offering a reliable, traceable and ESG-compliant alternative to traditional agricultural supply chains.
HerbiaEra has developed a bio-based binding technology that transforms loose growing media into machine-ready plugs, enabling more consistent automation in crop propagation and transplanting workflows.
Innodal produces Inneo, a natural next-generation antimicrobial agent that eliminates Listeria in ready-to-eat food processing environments, with no impact on taste, texture or product labelling.
Innoptech offers VegScout and VegForecast, drone-based and mobile precision scouting platforms that deliver plant-by-plant crop monitoring reports within an hour, helping vegetable growers reduce inputs and improve yield outcomes.
Nectar is an AI-powered operating system for the commercial beekeeping industry, combining acoustic hive diagnostics, RFID traceability and predictive analytics to help beekeepers improve colony health and maximise return on investment.
