Knowledge will once again take center stage at Ágora Verde during Iberflora 2026. Among the activities planned for this space, a new edition of the Technical Days organised by the Spanish Federation of Landscaping Companies (Federación Española de Empresas de Jardinería, FEEJ) stands out. On 6 and 7 October, the event will bring professionals, companies, and institutions together at Feria Valencia to discuss the main challenges and opportunities facing the professional landscaping sector.
Under the theme “Simple solutions to complex problems in landscaping,” this new edition will address key issues for the sector, including climate change adaptation, urban tree management, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the evolving relationship between cities and nature. The event is part of the Ágora Verde program, Iberflora’s dedicated space for knowledge sharing, innovation, and outreach.

Across two days, the program will combine technical presentations, case studies, and panel discussions featuring national and international specialists, offering a cross-cutting view of the trends reshaping landscaping, garden design, and green space management.
The first day, 6 October, will open with a presentation on rewilding and the reintroduction of living spaces into urban environments, delivered by Sergio Carratalá (Mata Alta Paisajisme). This will be followed by an analysis of a project connecting the city of Valencia with the Albufera Natural Park through infiltration and water naturalization solutions, presented by Francisco Pérez (PAIMED) and Miguel Martín (IIAMA-UPV). The morning will continue with a look at Las Palmas City Council’s experience implementing a new urban tree management plan, and a session dedicated to solutions for diseases and pests in green spaces. In addition, Egbert Roozen, Secretary General of the European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA), will give a presentation on the sector’s representation before European institutions. The day will close with a roundtable in which representatives from companies and associations will debate the main topics covered.
On 7 October, the focus will shift to the challenges of plant production, cities adapting to climate change, and the digital transformation of landscaping businesses. The program will include a session on forecasting and nursery production challenges, another on green cities in the context of climate change, a presentation on the digital recording of working hours and service documentation, and an analysis of the new National Landscaping Collective Agreement 2025–2030. The program will wrap up with a workshop on applying artificial intelligence in landscaping companies and a further sector debate.
