Green chrysanthemum takes center stage at Danziger Open Days

There is always something new to discover at Danziger Open Days. This year, one variety is quite literally ready to pop.

Meet GreenPop, a distinctive green chrysanthemum with a look that is hard to miss, and even harder to confuse with anything else on the market.

GreenPop will be among the varieties taking center stage during Danziger Open Days, August 24–28 in Antioquia, Colombia, where growers and industry partners can experience a broad Chrysanthemum assortment, combining proven commercial varieties with new introductions and novelties.

The event will also feature additional Danziger cut flower crops, including Unicorn, Green Dragon, Paintball Craspedia, Senti Roses, Gerberas and more, all in full bloom under local conditions.

A flower that pops
The first thing you notice about GreenPop is its shape. Its perfectly rounded, ball-shaped flower, approximately 8 cm in diameter, creates an immediate visual impact, while the particular shape of its petals gives the flower its unmistakable look. Its vibrant lime-green color adds to its distinctive appearance, and green is only the beginning, as GreenPop can also be tinted for even more creative versatility.

But Open Days are about looking beyond first impressions.

Seeing GreenPop, and the wider assortment, live in the greenhouse gives growers the opportunity to examine varieties up close, compare their characteristics and identify strong candidates for future trials or commercial programs.

Visitors will also receive practical tools to support their visit, including Danziger’s new Colombia Chrysanthemum Catalog and a dedicated Planting Catalog arranged according to the greenhouse display, helping them connect what they see in the greenhouse with relevant technical and production information.

Danziger Open Days will take place during Week 35, from August 24–28 in Antioquia, Colombia. Personal tours can be booked at the link here.
