Our customers weren’t asking for new hardware, but for trusted systems to talk to each other

“Our customers weren’t asking for new hardware. They were asking for the systems they already trusted to talk to each other,” says Travis Dixon of Ridder USA.

That feedback from growers across the U.S. market led to a new partnership between Ridder and H.E. Anderson. Announced at Cultivate 2026 in Columbus, the collaboration integrates H.E. Anderson’s fertigation skids with the Ridder HortiMaX control system, allowing growers to manage irrigation, fertigation, and climate from a single platform.

Through the integration, growers can now operate H.E. Anderson fertigation skids directly from the Ridder HortiMaX control system, using Ridder as the management layer for irrigation and fertigation.

Fertigation systems
Identifying the opportunity in H.E. Anderson’s fertigation systems, Travis brought the idea to Randy Nester at H.E. Anderson, and the two began working through what a real integration would require. Over a series of technical sessions, the teams aligned on how the Ridder platform would communicate with the H.E. Anderson skids, what growers would see and control through Ridder HortiMaX, and how to phase in the capability so customers could adopt it without disrupting existing operations.

“H.E. Anderson builds fertigation equipment that growers rely on every day,” Travis says. “It made far more sense to bring those skids under Ridder management than to ask anyone to replace what was already working.”

“The result is a more connected approach to water and nutrient management,” Randy says. “With irrigation strategy, climate data, and fertigation hardware working from the same platform, growers gain improved control, greater precision, and more efficient use of water and inputs, without having to manage separate systems or interfaces.”

Ridder and H.E. Anderson say the integration is the first step in a broader roadmap, with additional developments to be announced in the coming months.
