Seven candidates compete for FleuroStar 2026

Which entry will succeed Digitalis Hanabee F1 White from Takii Europe / Florensis? This year, seven companies – Beekenkamp Plants, Dümmen Orange, Morel Flowers, PanAmerican Seed (distributed by Florensis), Selecta one, Suntory Flowers Europe and Takii Europe – have submitted their most impressive novelty to take part in Fleuroselect’s FleuroStar Contest.

The variety with the highest visual impact at point-of-sale will be awarded the Winner with the wow factor during the FleuroStar Award Ceremony on Thursday 11th of June at the Suntory Flowers Europe location in Leimuiderbrug.

Canna generalis, Cannova Gold Leopard, Takii Europe
Cannova Gold Leopard is another striking addition to the Cannova F1 Canna series from seed, bringing ‘Color Botanica’ to life through its intense golden-yellow flowers with a distinctive, red-speckled pattern. Exceptional branching and flower-to-foliage ratio result in full, voluminous plants.

The FleuroStar Contest is held annually during FlowerTrials in week 24. The competing varieties are grown by the entering companies and will be displayed at nine contest locations.

An independent panel of expert judges from a cross-section of production and retail as well as trade journalists and marketing specialists vote for the winner with the wow factor. The winner will be revealed during the FleuroStar Award Ceremony on Thursday 11th of June, hosted by Suntory Flowers Europe at their location in Leimuiderbrug (NL).
